How much does it cost?
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO COST TO THE DOCTOR.
Since many insurance companies cover our services, insurance patients will rarely receive a statement. If an insurance provider or legal settlement pays the patient directly, then the patient will be billed for the amount paid. All x-rays receive the same complete, expert interpretation and analysis, without regard to the patient's ability to pay.
Who is reading my x-rays?
A team of respected board certified radiologists (both DC's and MD's are available) to read your x-rays. Some are fully versed in all phases of medical and manipulative treatment and are highly skilled in reading all patient imaging studies including x-rays, CT's, MRI's, bone scans, myelography, chest studies, abdominal studies, and more.
Who pays for x-ray shipping and supplies?
Progressive Diagnostic Imaging pays for all shipping and supplies. After your initial telephone call to us, we will arrange for Fed-Ex Service. There is no charge to you for this service. FedEx will provide all shipping supplies free of charge.
Why should I send all my x-rays?
Most doctors send every x-ray they take for a complete radiological interpretation and/or analysis. They find that having an objective opinion is excellent "risk management" practice. They use our digitized spinography as an educational and communications tool for their patients. And, they find, when they send patients home with a few copies of digitized comparative views, that it generates more referrals for their practice.
What happens to my x-rays when you get them?
First, they are logged in. Next, your x-rays are computer digitized, and the digitized image is stored in the computer for comparison to normal patient films. The digitized images then receive complete spinographic analysis, including all major lines and angles. PDi uses the nation's only patented technology to imprint pictures of x-ray mensuration lines, no other company can make this claim. This easy to understand information, along with associated images, is laser printed. These results, which include real pictures of your xrays, scientifically may validate the need for treatment. Of course, your x-rays are also read by board certified radiologists and the appropriate reports are also generated. Digitized spinographic analysis may be used in the report of findings, in personal injury cases, to challenge IME's, or to educate an insurance company's adjuster about the status of your patient's case. After the reports are compiled, your x-rays and reports are immediately sent back to your office via Fed-Ex.
How long does it take to get my x-rays back with your reports?
Our turnaround time is definitely the fastest in the industry (3-5 days). All films are returned to your office via Fed-Ex. Of course, you may always call in, or request us to call or fax the results. There is no charge for either service.
Is it complicated to send my patient's x-rays?
It is very simple. The patient or an assistant completely fills out our PATIENT INFORMATION form. Have the patient and doctor sign the RELEASE form as well as the Medical Necessity Form. Attach a photocopy of the front and back of the patient's insurance card to the forms. Put the x-rays, forms, card photocopy in your x-ray jacket then into a pre-paid x-ray shipping pack we provide from FedEx. That's all there is to it. Total preparation time is a few minutes.
What do I have to do to arrange for daily pickup and delivery of my x-rays?
Your assistant simply calls the toll-free telephone number and the overnight courier will pickup the films that same day. X-rays are also returned via Fed-Ex. There is no charge for this service.
What do I do to get started or to switch from my current radiology service?
All you need do is place one toll-free telephone call to Progressive Diagnostic Imaging, Inc. We will take it from there.
