Patented Technology

An explanation of our process, its capabilities and its limitations:

An image is acquired from a direct link to an MRI or CT, a scanned film, or downloaded via telephone link. Each acquired image is then identified and matched with patient data and stored on our computer system. Our system stores all basic patient and image information such as patient name, social security number, film date, image size, image content, referring doctor, etc.

Each image is then analyzed according to its content. Various landmarks are selected and stored in a location separate from the image. The numbered data points (landmarks) are later used to reconstruct a variety of biomechanical relationships and measurements that are useful to the doctor and the patient. A comprehensive biomechanical report is then generated using mainstream, widely accepted and conservative mensurations.

PDI's unique technology delivers photographic reproductions of the patient's image with complete mensurations displayed on film. The patient's images are printed on specialized technological format next to comparatively normal images for comparison. This is what gives PDI the advanced technology edge.
