Sample Reports
Depending on the films sent, the photographic quality x-ray reports range between 3 and 15 pages in length. Supporting cover pages, pathological text, biomechanical reports and explanatory references may take up to an additional 10 pages. On average, the reports are about 8-10 pages in length.
The reports are objective. If an impairment exists the computer and its software, the technician or the doctor or a combination thereof, will find it and document it. Obviously, when a study is performed there is no guarantee that an impairment exists.
The image on the right shows three different types of pages that are typically used in the report. The page on the left shows lateral bending and neutral measurements. The middle page shows common measurements drawn on the patient's image and placed next to a comparatively healthy image with those same measurements shown on it. The page on the far right shows a motion study that proves an impairment rating per the American Medical Association's Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (5th edition). |
